Add photos to an item
Photos are what make a catalogue recognizable at a glance. This page covers uploading photos to an item, ordering them, and choosing the cover.
Photos attach to the item, not to a single copy. They describe what the thing looks like, which is the same for every copy. Paperwork about one specific copy (a receipt, a certificate, a condition photo tied to one copy) belongs in that copy's documents instead.
Upload photos
While adding or editing an item, use the photo area to upload one or more images.
- Formats. JPEG, PNG, WebP, and GIF.
- Size. Up to 10 MB per photo.
Emma uploads two shots of her Amazing Spider-Man #300: the cover and the back.
Choose the main photo
When an item has several photos, one of them is the main photo, the cover shown in grids and lists. The first photo takes that role by default; pick a different one whenever you like. You can also reorder the photos so the extras appear in the order you want.
Removing a photo
You can delete a photo from the item at any time.
Deleting a photo removes it and its file immediately. Photos do not go to the trash, so there is no way to restore one after deleting it.
Managing photos in bulk
Every photo across your whole account can be searched, filtered, and managed from one screen, the photo library. That is also the only place with bulk actions. See Browse and manage your photo library.
Where to next
- Record the copies behind the pictures: Track the copies you own.
- Work with all your images at once: Browse and manage your photo library.
- Keep copy specific paperwork where it belongs: Attach documents to a copy.
