Group a franchise with series
A series ties together items that belong to one franchise, even when they live in different collections. Harry Potter can span your books, your films, and your LEGO. A series answers "show me everything from this universe" without caring where each piece is filed.
You need the editor or owner role to create or change series.
Create a series and link items
Open Series and choose New series. Give it a name, such as "Star Wars".

When adding or editing an item, pick the series on the item form. Items from any collection can join the same series.
Open the series page. Its items appear grouped by the collection they live in, with a count of how many items are linked and how many collections the series reaches.

Series versus sets
The contrast matters, because the two look similar at first:
- A set lives inside one collection, has a target count, and tracks completion.
- A series spans collections and tracks no completion. It is a franchise umbrella, nothing more.
Noah keeps a "Miles Davis" series linking records in his Vinyl collection and discs in his CD collection. It tells him the franchise reaches two collections and fifteen items. It never claims he is 60 percent done, because "done" is not a question a franchise can answer.
Delete a series
Deleting a series removes the umbrella only. The items that were part of it keep all their data and stay exactly where they are.
