Track a set to completion

A set is a finite list you are working to complete inside one collection: a twelve issue limited run, a full team of rookie cards, a discography. Give a set a target count and KolleK shows you owned versus target, so "how close am I" always has an answer.

You need the editor or owner role to create or change sets.

Create a set

1
Open the collection's sets

Open the collection and go to its Sets.

2
Create the set

Choose New set, name it, and enter the target count, the number of items the complete set holds. Noah creates "Blue Note 1500 series" with a target of 100.

3
Add items to it

When adding or editing an item, pick the set on the item form. Each item you file into the set moves the owned number up.

How completion is counted

The set page rolls up what you own against the target. Owning 37 of a 100 record series reads as 37 of 100. Completion also feeds the collection statistics, where all your sets combine into an overall completion figure.

Two details worth knowing:

  • Only a set with a target above zero counts towards completion statistics. A set without a target still groups items, it just makes no completion claim.
  • A set holding more items than its target counts as complete, not as over complete. Duplicates and variants will not push you past 100 percent.

Sets versus series

A set lives inside one collection and tracks completion. A series spans collections and tracks nothing; it only groups a franchise. If you are asking "which ones am I missing", you want a set.

Delete a set

Deleting a set sends it to the trash, and it can be restored from there.

Warning

Deleting a set removes the grouping, and its completion tracking with it. The items in the set are not deleted and keep all their data.
