Browse and manage your photo library

Every photo you attach to an item also appears in the photo library, one screen holding every image in the account. It is where you search across photos, find the ones taking up space, fix covers, and clean up in bulk. Adding photos happens on items, covered in Add photos to an item; this page is about managing them afterwards.

You need the editor or owner role to change or delete photos.

The numbers at the top

The library opens with four account wide figures: how many photos you have, the total storage they use, how many are covers, and how many items have photos at all. Watch the storage figure if you self host on a small disk.

Find the photo you mean

The library gives you three ways to narrow a large grid:

  • Search by file name or by the name of the item a photo belongs to. Type "spider" and every photo of an Amazing Spider-Man item surfaces, wherever it lives.
  • Filter by all photos, covers only, or extras only (photos that are not an item's cover).
  • Sort by newest, oldest, largest, or smallest. Sorting by largest is the quickest route to the photos worth compressing or deleting when storage grows.

You can also switch how the library is laid out, and your layout choice is remembered for you personally, without affecting anyone else in the account.

Photo details

Each photo shows its full story: dimensions, file size, format, when it was uploaded and by whom, whether it is a cover, and which item it belongs to, with a link straight to that item.

From a photo you can also:

  • Set it as the cover of its item, replacing the current cover.
  • Delete it.

Delete photos, one or many

The library is the one screen in KolleK with true bulk actions. Select several photos and delete them together, or delete a single photo from its details.

Warning

Deleting a photo removes the image file for good, immediately. Photos never go to the trash and cannot be restored. Check the selection carefully before confirming a bulk delete.

The item a photo belonged to is unaffected beyond losing that image. If you delete an item's cover, pick a new cover from its remaining photos.
